Elon Musk Chatbot
Elon Musk, the tech entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has reportedly set his sights on developing an AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT. ChatGPT, created by OpenAI, has generated a great deal of buzz since its public debut in November 2022. The chatbot uses natural language processing and machine learning to engage in human-like conversation, and it has been fine-tuned with both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.
According to a report by The Information, Musk is enlisting the help of Igor Babuschkin, a former employee of Google Alphabet’s DeepMind research team, to create his own AI chatbot. The report states that Musk is setting up a laboratory to work on the project, but details are scarce at this point.
While Musk has praised ChatGPT in the past, he has recently been critical of OpenAI and its platform. He has accused the company of training artificial intelligence to be “woke,” which he believes is “deadly.” Musk has also criticized OpenAI’s safeguards, which prevent ChatGPT from producing text that could be offensive to users.
Despite his criticisms, Musk remains deeply interested in artificial intelligence and its potential. He has expressed his belief that the age of artificial general intelligence is coming, and that AI will eventually surpass human intelligence. In a recent tweet, he wrote that “AI+human vs AI+human is the next phase, but the human part will decrease in relevance over time, except perhaps as will, like our limbic system is to our cortex.”
Other companies are also working on developing AI chatbots similar to ChatGPT. For example, SnapChat has recently unveiled a new AI chatbot that allows users to chat about their day or write a haiku about their best friend. Google is also expected to make its AI “Bard” available to the public soon.
